Re-export proposed LNG imports

Australian emissions are increasing because of big energy to liquefy methane down to 162degC LNG. This energy is reckoned to be 20% of LNG value. “They” export more than 85% of “our” gas.

So, instead of importing LNG which needs big plant to warm/gasify and feed to grid, why not keep some of “our gas”, already in grid, and transfer, from import ship to export ship, some of incoming LNG so it goes out again without any 20% cost liquefaction?

Why not? Or even save transport cost by diverting ship, from source of import, directly to “their” export customer destination?
