But there’s no evidence that we have that quality of politician, so we all have to be prepared for the most likely scenario, which is a 4°C rise in temperature. “If we don’t prepare to adapt we simply won’t be able to.” The draft says “climate change will reduce median yields [of major crops, wheat, rice and maize] by 0 to 2% per decade for rest of century…while demand increases by about 14% per decade until 2050″.
