BZE RePower Port Augusta proposal is threatened with being undermined by Alinta. They want to run water up the tower of the CST(Concentrated Solar Thermal) plant, rather than molten salt. 24 hour power is the objective, with 600degC salt storage. Without storage, it’s solar by day but needs as much investment again in fossil fired backup at night. Time to write to Alinta so they know you think it’s time for Australia to actually get serious about Big Solar.
