From TheAge 23 Jan – The forecast expansion of Australian coal mining and exports would be the world’s second-largest contributor of new carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels if fully realised, research by Greenpeace International has found. If mining any more than 80% of reserves for top 100 coal, oil and gas companies will cause more than 2degC climate catastrophe, then it’s time to get real about leaving it in the ground. >Read more>
