Yes, fossil fuels are bad, burning carbon from previous millenia but biofuels from crop oils and sugars are only borrowed like a bank loan. It gets paid back to atmosphere very quickly, no net gain.
Don’t we need, desperately, Citizens Assembly to try to make sense from this nonsense? The Minister is also rubber stamping $3Billion for 3km 3rd runway at Melbourne airport, more in Sydney.
How can they say policies are reducing emissions when they pull tricks like this?
