A veteran U.S. energy consultant and attorney is accusing the nascent carbon capture and storage (CCUS) industry of hypocrisy, after an industry report last week warned the technology won’t be able to meet the 2035 decarbonization goals in Canada’s draft Clean Electricity Regulations—even though they’re much the same targets Canadian CCUS proponents first promised nearly a decade ago.

Questionable contribution by trees, other boondoggles worthless. Time for serious cuts to emissions, no other way, before its too late.
