Dr John (Charlie) Veron, otherwise known as ‘godfather of coral’, has been diving off the Great Barrier Reef for 45 years and says the level of deterioration reached so far means that in future, no-one will ever be able to experience it in the way he has…He will soon launch a ‘Corals of the World’ website that aims to preserve the Great Barrier Reef in digital form.
