Here’s the graphic from an item at Skeptical Science which does the numbers on the size of problem we face, even if CCS(carbon capture and storage) Can be delivered at all. We all know that carbon to landfill is a menace but, obviously, nothing compared with CO2 to atmosphere. Graph below shows where we’ve been with lower CO2 emissions and what the future holds with different RCP projections by IPCC. You need to be an incurable optimist to believe that we’ve lived up to expectations from our children that live up to the trust they’ve placed in us to take care of the planet.
