We’ve heard of big banks with trigeneration power in the basement but what will it take before any local government takes ownership of generating electricity for the whole community? Also, In 2011, Boulder citizens voted to have their city take over the electric utility, joining 1 in 7(!!!!) Americans served by municipal electric utilities.
