Innovate Australia (but don’t even dream about commercialisation)

In the land of cultural cringe, tall poppy syndrome and denialist mainstream media, we’re told our (economic) future will suffer if we don’t innovate new products, especially for export to help developing countries. Here’s another example, almost as bad as selling off Suntech for $160k. This project in Whyalla, was to prove 500m2/25mdia concentrating solar energy, with molten salt storage. Major  attraction is suitability for volume production. But government funding not available for 4 dish proving system, only available for 300 dish scale, except cancelled because proving trial not completed!! They say government can’t be seen to be picking winners when offering funding. Time to get writing so taxpayers aren’t losers.
