Drought Is Causing U.S. Beef Prices To Skyrocket

Last year’s drought was so extreme that beef cattle herds are smallest herds since 1952. Rate of recovery is slow because cycle time is 4 years birth to slaughter. Cattle feed has more than doubled in price because of increasing world demand and food crops being used for biofuel. Less demand for beef means big reductions in methane flatulence!
