Just before the last Climate Summit in Copenhagen, one of Rupert Murdoch’s minions, James Delingpole,  at Daily Telegraph UK, spawned the name Climategate to get headline attention, around the world, to publicise that somebody had extracted thousands of emails from University of East Anglia, which proved incompetence and deviance amongst climate scientists. Multiple investigations have since determined that any such claims are totally without foundation.

So, now the next Climate Summit is about to happen in Durban South Africa and Murdoch media is  playing the same trick again with Climategate 2. Meanwhile world weather events are ever more extreme, exceeding projections of science models.

Serious actions are needed to mitigate against risk of worsening damage caused by CO2 emissions from burning fossil fuels. But politicians cannot compete with adverse reactions which can be stimulated by Rupert’s propaganda brigade.

On an ABC TV doco, Delingpole was asked what expertise he had in the context of Climate Science. “None” was the reply! Had he read reports from IPCC or others? No, not his job. What is his job? Interpreting the interpretations of reports made by others!! They can hack and report whatever they like without recrimination. It’s bad enough when they incite things like race riots but isn’t it ever more terrifying as we watch accumulated results of Global Warming?
