At AGM of PICS(Phillip Island Conservation Society) last Sat 11 Jan, a motion was passed, unanimously, that so much concern, about so many aspects, and unconvincing answers about proposed PoHC, warrant establishment of a new group. Provisional name is People Protecting the Bay. Lisa Schonberg presented recent additions to her 15 year collection of whale watch photos, a pleasant surprise that whales are now here in summer, as well as winter. Other photos show clarity of water in Westernport Bay, murky until recently, investment now repaid, to control run off from agriculture on northern shores. As explained elsewhere, Port of Hastings just doesn’t make sense.
