Core samples from Sydney Harbour identify that CO2 in seagrass has been accumulating in layers of sediment for 8,000 years. Will State or Federal government attribute any value to this CO2 sequestration, especially compared with cost of CCS fantasy, before vandalising Westernport Bay? Simple calculations identify need to dredge more than 200MillionCubic Metres(!) Will they also attribute any value to recent clarity of water, also recent recovery of seagrass pasture, now enabling recreational diving and attracting orcas, as well as whales, as well as dolphins?
