Energy/Distributed – Constraints

To reduce emissions caused by fossil fuelled electricity generation, one particularly important objective is to accelerate the installation of energy sources closer to where energy is needed. As well as roof top solar panels, this means industrial sized solar and wind. Also, in recent years, gas turbine based systems have been seen as a “transition”(to zero carbon) electricity supply.
The report below may not look too exciting but your attention is drawn to Conclusions, which explains that privatised ownership of transmission lines is making progress difficult.
